WhatReplaced was built to solve this. We provide rigorous, unbiased, hands-on reviews of field service software. Every tool we review goes through the same testing process, evaluated against the same criteria, by the same team. No vendor gets special treatment.
How We Review
Every review on WhatReplaced follows a standardized methodology:
- Hands-on Testing — We sign up for every tool, configure it, and use it for real tasks over at least two weeks.
- Feature Analysis — We evaluate every feature against a checklist of what businesses actually need.
- Pricing Breakdown — We dig into the real costs, including hidden fees, per-seat minimums, and annual commitments.

Our Rating System
We rate every tool on a 0-5 scale:
- 4.5 – 5.0 Outstanding. Best-in-class. Strongly recommended.
- 4.0 – 4.4 Excellent. Great choice for most teams.
- 3.0 – 3.9 Good. Solid option with some trade-offs.
- 2.0 – 2.9 Fair. Has notable limitations.
- Below 2.0 Not recommended.
